Cut it off, Derek is FREE!!!
Derek wasn't nervous about it being cut off. He was nervous about it being off. He was nervous about re-injuring it. He's been really careful.
Here is the familiar x-ray room. He said it feels like it could float, except his thumb feels heavy.
He had to have x-rays taken at least 8 times altogether.
His arm is skinny, hairy, and covered in dead skin. yucky.
You can see how his new bones have bumped. This is good and normal, in a year the bump will be gone and his bones should look completely normal.
We are so thankful for good Doctors and x-rays.

YAYAYAYA!!! I was wondering if there was any after effect from swimming. I was hoping there wouldn't be mold growing on the arm! Glad it's just dead skin and hair. Isn't modern medicine a miracle. I wonder what the pioneers would have done!
Those are some cute posts!! Glad Derek got his cast off, does it bring back any memories? Lola is growing so much and she is so smart.
Way to go Derek! You were such a trooper during the whole ordeal. Climbing over couches seems harmless, but you found out differently! Take care of those arms now, you only have two!
