A big ride for Kelli

Kelli LOVES Grandpa Doug's horses, she has ridden them many times in the pen and can even get RE (real name is Aurora) to trot. But Saturday morning she went on a real ride. She and Jake are riding Sissy (my dad's horse) and my dad was riding Auri (aka: RE).
I was being a good mom and bundled up Kelli too much apparently.

When comparing horses Sissy, the darker one, would be a Cadillac, and Auri would be a jeep. Sissy rides smooth and walks good, and Auri likes to trot and is a lot more bumpy.
When I go on rides I usually ride the Jeep horse. My legs, and core muscles usually get sore from the bumps, and I always where my best bra.
Kelli tried sitting in the back but she couldn't see and it made her legs really stretched out. So she mostly rode in front.
She was super talkative on the ride and kept track of how many times the horse went fast, and shook her head and used the bathroom and all sorts of stuff. Kelli told me she went fast 10 times. She said it was very pretty, and they saw a special hollow tree. She climbed inside the tree.
She says it was a 10 on the fun scale.

They are just coming back, all in one piece and still smiling!

Kelli had and adjustment getting back to earth walking! Her legs didn't want to work so good.
While we waited for them we did tomatoes and Derek kept checking Grandpa's chickens for eggs. We brought home 6! Grandpas and Grandmas have the best toys!
Kelli had a great time. Next time she will go by herself riding Auri and Grandpa Doug will hold on to the lead rope with Sissy. Then Kelli can use the little saddle! It's a learning process. She is gaining skills and confidence! Thanks Grandpa Doug!
