MEOW!

As mentioned Derek loves Grandpa's chickens. He was down their again with his best buddie cousin Quinn.

Derek has learned how to negotiate with the nearby dog to get to the chickens and eggs, but Quinn was still a big nervous. They were working together to distract and subdue the dog. When I heard Derek say this; "It won't bite you unless you look like a cat and say MEOW!"

Now Grandpa Doug, did you teach him that? Because it sounds like something you would say to him.

We also had a very special guest at family prayer tonight. A Jedi knight. Obe-wan Kenobi to be exact. He participated fully, Derek folded the little dude's arms and bent him over in the traditional, kneeling-with-my-head-and-arms-on-the-floor-too pose.

After the prayer the clone helmet wearing 4 inch action figure gave kisses to Mom and Dad before scurrying off on a special mission to bed. Derek provided all the sound effects and made sure he was reverent and appropriately shaped for the prayer. Derek's getting quite the imagination.
