It's been hard for me to get to these posts mostly because of the hundreds of pictures we took. It was hard to pick which ones to post. But our trip to Scotland was truly amazing. We loved every minute of it.
Our flight over was a lot more exhausting than I expected, but we pulled out of the fog easily. Elder and Sister Ripp kept us busy. We first went to the Edinburgh castle. It was cool. We then shopped on the Royal Mile, like a huge strip mall. There were lots of people and we saw a cool kilt-wearing bagpiper.
We enjoyed the ride to their city, Dundee. The driving is crazy and our instincts were going crazy about turning and cars in the wrong lane.
Going to church was pretty cool, we went to the Perth Branch.
This pic is right in front of their flat (apartment). They live directly on the Tay river, it's pretty cool.
Sunday afternoon we drove up to Law hill and got a great view of the city. From this picture you can see their flat, it's the reddish buildings by the river. The bridge will take you over to the Kingdom of Fife, which isn't a kingdom but it's the name of the county. It also homes St. Andrews, and the city Darsie!
We stayed up late every night talking just like teenagers, it was fun. Jake and I had so many questions.
This is Claypotts castle, it's an ity-bity castle, but it was fun.
Also really close to their home is the HMS Unicorn. It's like super duper old. I can't remember why or what but it has been restored and can be rented for parties or weddings. HMS stands for Her Majesties Ship. Unicorns are a symbol of Scotland.

This is Broughty Castle. (Brody) It was used to protect invaders from coming down the Tay. It was even used as late as WW2. We toured inside and saw some cool swords and history. Scotland has so much history, and much of it is bloody. 
This is Arbroath, it's on the sea. this was a cute pic.
At the Arbroath Abbey is where the 'Declaration of Independence' for Scotland was signed in the 1300's. It's only ruins now but it was really cool.
This is the Discovery boat. It was made in Dundee and helped the British beat the U.S. to the South Pole. We walked there from the flat. It was really cool. They do a great job at restoring things, but only if their really cool or over 200 years old.

Oh my! I love all the pictures. I love Jake in his Scottish hat! Very dashing. I want to figure out how to have E. Erickson's girlfriend look at this post, i hope that's okay. Can't wait to see you guys!!!!!
